Safety Information

One number 1 priority is our players safety. Planning for safety includes training our coaches, planning for safety at practices, holding high behavioral expectations and focus and game day planning.  Please read on to learn about some of the safety measures in place.

Coaching Training

All volunteer coaches & game day managers are trained in first aid, CPR, concussions, heat stroke & sudden cardiac arrest. An AED is on site at the football field.

All volunteer coaches & game day managers must pass an annual background, completed through AAFYL’s trusted coaches.

All volunteer coaches & game day managers are required to complete and pass a Child Safety course that includes information in accordance with the National Safe Sport Authorization Act.  Topics include child abuse, bullying, harassment and preventing abuse.

All volunteer coaches receive additional football training from varsity coaching staff annually and attend trainings throughout the Spring season that include safety, player development and proper drill technique.

Game Day Information

Please use this LINK to learn about our Game Day Plan for the season. Each game has a game day manager who is responsible for all happenings of that game, including any medical situations that should they arise and weather related decisions.

Game Day information and planning is developed in accordance with AAFYL rules & regulations.  Waukesha South Youth Football strives to go above these regulations to provide a medical professional onsite at all games; in addition to the required game manager.
